2012 Graduate Recognition Service
Golden Acres will recognize our graduating "Seniors of 2012" on Sunday, May 20th at the 10:30 AM service. Any Seniors who would like to participate need to fill out the info. form at the Sign-Up Center in the hallway and turn it in Jonathan Taylor or to the church office along with a Senior picture and baby picture by Wednesday, May 16th.

Prayer Ministry
If you would like to be a part of our "Upper Room" Prayer Ministry, please call the church office at 334.298.3381. Members of this GABC ministry are on a rotation schedule to pray for our church and other church prayer requests for 1 hour - once a month during a service in our "Upper Room" Prayer Room.

The church frequently sends out important information to our members via email. Therefore, we are asking everyone to make sure we have your most current email address in our database. If you have a login and password to our website, you may update this information yourself or you may fill out an email update form and leave it in a Joy Box. These forms will be at the Welcome Center.
LOST AND FOUND
If you have lost any personal items at the church, please check the Lost and Found Box at the Welcome Center by Wednesday, May 30th. On May 31st all items will be donated to a local charity.
MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES
CLASSES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED FOR THE SUMMER - CLASSES WILL RESUME WHEN SCHOOL STARTS BACK IN THE FALL. EXACT DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER TIME
Boys & Girls - Ages 8-12
Weekly classes held on Sundays from 7:15-8:00 PM in the Gym
Instructor - Brian Hatcher - Brian received his instructor rank on November 22, 2002. Since becoming a Black Belt, he has added several accomplishments to his list. In 2001, he was ranked 3rd in Open Forms, and 4th in traditional forms for the Men's Black Belt Division with the S.K.L. (Sport Karate League).
We have been told on numerous occasions that families with special needs children aren't attending church because there is not a church in the area that offers something for their children.

VIDALIA ONION PICKUP
If you ordered onions from the Senior Adult Ministry, you can pick them up this Sunday, May 20th after the 6:00 PM service and Wednesday, May 23rd from 5:00 PM until after the 6:30 PM service under the picnic area behind the church.

Sound Choices Crisis Pregnancy Center
If you would like to help the Women's Ministry support women in crisis, please pick up a baby bottle at the table in the foyer and fill it with your loose change. We will collect these back on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17th and deliver the to the Crisis Center.
FOOD PANTRY HOURS
Our Food Pantry hours are now on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM. We are seeing a great need and we need your continued support. Below is a list of needed items at this time:
Pop Tarts, Pancake Mix, Cereals, Breakfast Bars, Mayonnaise, Spaghetti Sauce, Snack Foods, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Juice, Lunch Meats, Canned Tomatoes, Tea, Canned Hams, Coffee, Corn Bread Mix, and Small bags of Sugar (smaller than 5 lbs)
You may drop your items off at the church office during office hours or place them in the box at the Welcome Center. Thank you for your willingness to help with this ministry!
Motorcycle Ministry
Our Motorcycle Ministry, "Riding for the Son" is a great Outreach opportunity. Bring a biker friend and join in on the fun and fellowship. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month in the church parking lot immediately after the 10:30 AM service. For more information on the ministry, please contact Mike Moore at 334.298.8180.
