114 You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word

Refuge exists to help draw students into a closer relationship with Jesus through discipleship, worship, and fellowship. We are a community of faith and friendship with people from just about every background. Students from 9^th grade to College have found Refuge to be their place to believe and belong.

Our Wednesday service is a time of excitement and celebration as our worship team leads us in singing songs that are uplifting and as we strive to teach God's Word in a way that is practical to daily life. We begin the night with worship and break out immediately following announcements for an age appropriate Bible study. High school students remain together in the student center while college students breakout into their own more in depth study.

Refuge BFG

We meet every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the student center for a more personal discussion based Bible study. Most would call this Sunday School. However, Refuge BFG isn’t just another boring class. We seek to get to know each and to draw closer to Christ together through discussions about real life and real situations. If you truly want to go deeper, this is the group you want to get involved in!

Student Mission Opportunities

We offer many different opportunities for students to become involved in not only local but also global mission opportunities. We have established amazing relationships with many local ministries in Rwanda and take a yearly trip which is offered to all 11^th,12^th, and college students. While there we help to train church leaders and pastors, small construction projects, and VBS events. We have plans to add more ministry opportunities in the future to Peru and Thailand. Our desire and passion is fueled by Romans 10:14-15 which says,

14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
